I was contacted to redesign a logo that the company was no longer happy with. The main goal was to make the new logo more simple, but keep the idea of construction involved. They also wanted to keep the red but drop the blue for a more neutral color.
This was the company’s initial logo.
I sketched multiple ideas. My initial sketches are always on paper in order to see what a one color version of the logo would look like.
After I had a couple I liked, I added color and found a font that I thought worked well. These were sent to the company for feedback on overall design, color, and font.
The company liked the middle option best, but wanted to see it in blue instead of red, and wanted to see if I could take the concept any further, and to make it more of a stand-alone shape by looking more like the letter “G”.
I created more similar iterations of that design and sent them back for final feedback and thoughts. The second concept was chosen and all assets that the company needed were sent.
